The time technically required for the application of certain therapies and massages is used; during therapies and/or massages, the time dedicated to each client is limited and structured. Within this period of time, the therapist decides what activities will be performed in order for the massage to have a safe and satisfying result for you, and will make the most important decision before the massage begins regarding how the time will be spent, which may be based on in:

(1) information collected from the client or the client’s caregivers during the assessment,

(2) objectives of the treatment established by the client,

(3) the client’s financial and time constraints,

(4) the parameters established by third party payers such as insurance companies (if applicable).


The general procedures for carrying out some of the therapies that we offer at Crystal Bamboo include: undressing, we will indicate a place where you can store and secure the personal items of the Patient/Client, during the therapy we perform drapery procedures when you have to change position. Our users have different comfort levels when undressing, so we may allow patients/clients to remain partially clothed if that is their desire. Below we will describe the possible techniques to be applied (for example, effleurage, petrissage, stretching) and the methods used, such as myofascial and lymphatic drainage and therapies such as Cranio/Sacral. It is extremely important to discuss the importance of communication and feedback during massage, especially the importance of notifying your therapist of any discomfort or desire for the therapist to stop or modify treatment. We could apply the use of hand tools, such as stones, massage cups or percussion devices, which are used to apply massage techniques or materials, such as exfoliating salts, hot or cold compresses, Use massage lubricants, such as coconut-based oils , almonds and Vit E, natural and organic essential oil.

On the other hand, those who receive Cranio-Sacral therapy remain fully clothed at all times in a quiet and private environment, lie down or sit on a comfortably padded table where the therapy is carried out, these techniques are “Non-invasive” that consists of light and subtle touch on different parts of the body mostly the skull, spine or sacrum, where almost imperceptible methods are used when your therapist begins to monitor the rhythm of the fluid that flows around the central nervous system to assess the functioning in the system Cranio-Sacral; By listening carefully with the hands to locate areas of fluid flow or weak tissue movement, your doctor can trace those areas of weakness through the body to the original source of dysfunction. Delicate and imperceptible manual techniques are then used to release those problem areas and improve the form and function of your central nervous system. A Craniosacral Therapy session can last up to an hour or more. It can be used alone or integrated with other therapies to facilitate powerful changes. What each patient/client experiences in your own session is very individual.  The sessions are mostly deep and relaxing, creating sensations of heat or gentle pulsations in the areas where the therapist is working or in another area at a distance.
